NEWb showed itself in its best light at the Inholland open day
Yearly InHolland University opens its doors for potential students to come and take a peek to see the different programs that the school has to offer. Of course, our NEWb students couldn’t miss out on this happening. Different students from the internal teams were presents to give visitors a taste of NEWb.
Shy, innocent faces shuffling behind mom and dad who take the lead, big eyes filled with fear, not knowing what to expect. This day was the beginning of some beautiful futures!
Our NEWb students were up bright and early to receive a briefing from Naomi. After this team started to set up everything and waited anxiously for the first few visitors to arrive. To make the mood even more enjoyable NEWb Radio turned up the music
Shy high-school pupils were shuffling behind their parents to see where the music was coming from. How could this party be related to school? NEWb Events gave al the visitors a warm welcome at their luxurious stand and directed them to the other internal teams on the NEWb floor.
The SMT members set their best foot forward and were present to guide all the visitors around the NEWb floor and explain to them what NEWb is exactly. Why is this learn- work company a component in the study program of Inholland? What does it mean for the students? What will be expected from them and what kinds of assignments are related to NEWb?
NEWb Radio and Audio Production attracted a lot of visitors, because of their impressive studios with professional material and capturing their full attention with their music. For our future InHolland students it was a surprise that Robert and Delilah were broadcasting live on the radio.
Of course, we couldn’t miss out the Exposure girls who were located next to the Radio studio, which were showing off the NEWbsite and giving presentations on their editorial work. From conversing with the visitors it became clear that they were more interested in MEM than COMM. The Exposure ladies redirected those interested in MEM to NEWb Bookings, a team with a real MEM related project, which could tell them everything they needed to know. Obviously making movies was also a popular subject among school pupils, so it was obvious that they had to be at the NEWb TV and the Video Production team.
Later in the afternoon it became quieter on the NEWb floor. This gave internal teams a chance to finally take a deep breath after hours of talking to future students and their parents. The NEWbees answered a lot of questions and gave the visitors insight on NEWb. The longer the visitors spent on our floor, the more enthusiastic they became. They were feeling the creative NEWb atmosphere too! The internal teams have shown themselves in their best light and now we're hoping that our learn- and work company will be an overriding factor in choosing a study program at Inholland!
