During NEWb the TV Team will be working in association with the television channel DNAMC. This year they have received as theme "Fifteen Minutes of Fame." This has led the TV team to research and completely renew the theme by creating a concept called the "The Fame Game," this will be a series of 5 episodes of fifteen minutes, which will follow six young and talented individuals who will be fighting for 100.00 euros and eternal fame. What do you think will happen when six individuals fight for the the spotlight?
Samantha was born for the spotlight and is out to get it, no matter what the price is. Others see her as ‘malicious’ but she calls it being determined. Samantha may have a lot of bad qualities, like being manipulative and snobby, but you know, at least she’s pretty. She sees herself as a diva that thrives off attention and is not afraid to show her claws when things get ugly.
The role of Samantha will be played by our project leader, Floor Zijlemans. Floor was born and raised in one of the most beautiful cities of Brabant: Uden. Floor is the project leader of this team, which means she is the boss, but not bossy. Floor is a hard worker with a passion for television, fashion, celebrities and her little nephew. She showed us exactly how far she would go for NEWb TV, by actually ripping one of her favorite pants. Unfortunately for the viewer, you’ll not be seeing this footage.
Tamara has been spending her days at a local supermarket. Being fed up with her boring lifestyle she chose to finally head in the direction she aspired for so long: fame. She’s born and raised in Rotterdam and will probably never leave 010. Tamara is a sweet girl and she wants people to like her. She may seem unintelligent, but when it comes to being street smart: Tamara knows her stuff.
The role of Tamara will be played by our financial manager, Renée Westhof. Renée plays a character that is pretty far apart from her real life, but that’s what makes it interesting and fun for her to play. From the moment she put on that animal print: she became Tamara. Renée is extremely motivated and a go-getter. Her real talent is to get stuff done without any flaws and motivating the group to a higher level. Renée has a lovely sense of humor, is very charming and that’s what makes her a great asset to the NEWb TV team.
Bo is a happy-go-lucky gal from Assen. She is known for being the life of a group and therefore, her nickname is Queen Positivity. Her talent is dancing and entertaining people. Bo’s enthusiasm is contagious, but can also get on someone’s nerves. Bo is bouncy, cute, spiritual and spontaneous. But can she handle critique or handle the attitude of other contestants?
The role of Bo will be played by one of our creative managers, Kara Tisha Duifhuizen. Kara and Bo actually have some similarities, like being positive at any time, only Bo takes it to a whole another level. Besides that, Kara is also on her way to fame with her 2 singles “Dub me Now” and “Higher Up” produced by Guido & Stefan Janssen. Kara is full of great ideas and knows how to spark creativity. She likes to keep a nice atmosphere where everybody can work as a team and get along. Kara is not afraid of being silly and you’ll get a glimpse of that during the show.
Carel is an aspiring boxer, but his goal is to play one big match, cash in and live the life of the rich and famous. Carel is a ladies’ man and is fan of Carmen Electra. Carel tried breaking through before, but because his short attention span: he kind of missed that boat. This time around, Carel is back for his “well-deserved” celebrity status.
The role of Carel will be played by one of our creative managers, Frank den Dunnen. Frank and Carel pretty much share that short attention span, but don’t worry: we keep him in check. Frank has surprised us more than once with qualities we did not know of. He arranged the gorgeous Mercedes, which you can see in the leader and the logo has also been made by Frank. We’re very happy to have him on our team, because his creative mind (and six-pack!) is something to be jealous of.
Michael has two loves in his life: his mom and the entertainment industry. For the Fame Game, he made his choice, but growing up and getting famous at the same time is not that easy. Michael thinks he’s friends with known celebrities, but unfortunately, he’s nothing more than just “the son of”. In the Fame Game he will find out that there are quite a few bumps on the road of getting famous.
The role of Michael will be played by one of our marketing managers, Mathijs Werring. Mathijs is a 20-year-old blogger with a big mouth and a small heart. Mathijs, together with Peter, is responsible for anything marketing-related. He hates to make phone calls, but loves to write. Mathijs can be pretty hyper, but that’s mainly the cause of too many Red Bulls and too little sleep. Mathijs will not be shamelessly plugging his book here, but it’s dropping in February. He’s also very happy that he has rediscovered his love for acting.
Ron has one goal and one goal only: to get that grand prize of 100.000 euro’s. He is hell-bent to get the money, because he loves to gamble. Ron is known for having a bad mood or a temper, but that’s because his eyes are on the prize. Is it healthy to have euro signs as eyes all the time? Maybe not, but Ron will not lose his focus for a second.
The role of Ron will be played by one of our marketing managers, Peter van Reijen. He is a born presenter and together with Renée he did two amazing pitches (one for NEWb and one for DNAMC). Peter has had a lot of experience: his filmgroup Chillground (consisting of him and four others) is currently celebrating its five-year anniversary. Peter is the King of Camera, the Godfather of the Lens, the Master of Editing, in short: he knows his stuff. His gifts of knowing how to make the picture look good and also playing the part AND being humble about it is pretty amazing.
From time to time this team will be needing some extras. If interested don't hesitate and contact us. This reality show will be aired around mid- December. So stay tuned.
